A Tribute to Councillor Roy Cornell

With the very deepest of regret, we must advise that Councillor Roy Cornell passed away on Thursday 23 September in hospital. Roy had been unwell for a while, although he had recently been out of hospital to enjoy some time with his family, friends and Council colleagues.
Roy had represented the Ward of Roffey South on Horsham District Council since he was first elected in May 2007. He was a well known and popular member of the Council, both with his fellow Councillors and with the residents of Roffey South. He had been an active and supportive member of our Party through the Roffey Branch for very many years. His humour and good-nature were amongst his most endearing characteristics for all that knew him.
He was a lovely man and he will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by many of you. He is survived by his widow, Mabel, their two children Katherine and Robert, their son-in-law Brian and their two grandchildren, Zachary (16) and Jordan (11). To them all we send our condolences and deepest sympathies at this very difficult time
